Playgrounds

Quota Park Playground – Nambour QLD

Project:

Stage 1 – revamp of existing little-kids character-playground comprising upgrade of old shelters, train, sandpit, picnic settings and seating; re-use of existing art works (eg large mosaic tiles transformed into seating cube); and new rubber soft-fall surface, play equipment, fencing and planting. (Soft-fall and play equipment installed by Urban Play, with other landscape works by Aspect Contractors).

Stage 2 – Upgrade of big-kids play area comprising new soft-fall surface, stone seating walls, adventure equipment and drinking fountain. (Playground installed by Playscape Creations).

Stage 3 – Replacement of hazardous old flying-fox and open rocky drain with a new shady grassed seating and kick-about area which included upgrade and protection of existing in-ground community art works, and improved access to play-tower. Safety of whole playground and tower improved in terms of equitable access and better surveillance. Some garden beds have since been lost in flooding.
